Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 26949 specifies the stability and its verification methods related to the safety of industrial vehicles as defined in ISO 5053. The industrial vehicles covered in this part refer to self-propelled or walking vehicles with wheels, except for those running on tracks. These vehicles can be controlled by operators or operated autonomously, and are used for loading, pulling, pushing, lifting, stacking, or layered stacking in shelves. This part specifies additional stability tests to verify the stability of vehicles during stacking operations under conditions of mast tilting and load lifting. This part applies to the following types of vehicles: a) Counterbalanced forklifts with tiltable masts as specified in ISO 229152; b) Reach (retractable mast or forks) and reach-and-strike forklifts with tiltable masts as specified in ISO 229153; c) Pallet stackers with tiltable masts as specified in ISO 229154; d) Two-way and multi-way operation forklifts (retractable mast or forks) with tiltable masts as specified in ISO 229157; e) Off-road forklifts with tiltable masts as specified in ISO 2291513; f) Articulated steering counterbalanced forklifts with tiltable masts as specified in ISO 2291515.
