Scope

This standard applies to the design, production, and testing of portable monitors for total hydrocarbons, methane, and non-methane total hydrocarbons in ambient air and fixed pollution source exhaust gases (hereinafter referred to as "instruments"). For instruments used in different scenarios, the detection ranges of corresponding instruments are specified. Instruments used for emergency monitoring of ambient air and environmental air pollution accidents are referred to as Type I instruments in this standard, and instruments used for monitoring fixed pollution source exhaust gases are referred to as Type II instruments in this standard.
