Scope

This standard specifies the general principles of full-scale structural testing of wind turbine blades, blade data, design and test loads, test load coefficients, load distribution, failure modes, test procedures and methods, as well as other tests of blade characteristics and component tests.
This standard applies to full-scale structural testing of horizontal-axis wind turbine blades with a swept area greater than or equal to 200m2.
Most of the principles in this standard can be applied to wind turbine blades of any structure, size, and material.
