GB/T 33047.1-2016 Plastics—Thermogravimetry(TG)of polymers—Part 1:General principles
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 33047 specifies a general method for analyzing polymers using thermal gravimetry, which can be used to measure the decomposition temperature and decomposition rate of polymers, as well as the amount of volatiles, additives, and/or fillers contained therein. This part is applicable to the analysis of liquid or solid samples, where solid samples can be pellets, particles, or powders. It is also applicable to appropriately sized processed molded products. Thermal gravimetry can be divided into dynamic mode (under program-controlled conditions, the mass changes with temperature or time) or isothermal mode (under constant temperature, the mass changes with time). Thermal gravimetry can also be conducted in different atmospheres, such as performing decomposition in an inert atmosphere to avoid the influence of oxidative degradation reactions.
