Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, definitions, performance requirements, and test methods for intensity-modulated radiation therapy planning systems.
This standard applies to intensity-modulated radiation therapy planning systems (hereinafter referred to as the system) with high-energy X-ray dose calculation functions. The system is used to design patients' intensity-modulated radiation therapy plans.
If the system also has planning design functions for radiation therapy techniques other than intensity-modulated radiation therapy, it shall also comply with the corresponding standards.
