Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and user's manual, packaging, transportation and storage of UV therapy equipment.
This standard applies to the requirements of UV therapy equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment) used in medical practice as defined in 3.1.
This standard does not apply to the following equipment:
——UV disinfection or sterilization equipment used solely for irradiating instruments and materials;
——Light curing machines;
——UV laser equipment;
——UV photosensitizing therapy equipment;
——UV blood irradiation equipment.
