Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, protection scope, environmental conditions, physical appearance characteristics, breed performance, nutritional indicators, breeding chicken standards, and test methods for Yanjin Wugui Chicken. This standard applies to the identification, selection, preservation, evaluation of breeding chickens, and the sale of commercial chickens and their products of Yanjin Wugui Chicken, which was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China as a geographical indication for agricultural products in No. 2231 Announcement. Main technical contents: (1) Protection scope: Specifies that the geographical indication registration product protection scope of Yanjin Wugui Chicken is limited to the area defined in No. 2231 Announcement of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. (2) Environmental conditions: Specifies the environmental conditions such as "geological and topographical conditions", "hydrological conditions", and "climatic characteristics" for the breeding of Yanjin Wugui Chicken. (3) Physical appearance characteristics: Specifies the "body type" and "appearance" characteristics of Yanjin Wugui Chicken. Appendix B provides pictures of black-feathered Yanjin Wugui Chickens (roosters and hens). (4) Breed performance: Specifies "growth rate", "adult chicken weight and body size", "reproductive performance", "egg production performance", and "meat production performance". (5) Nutritional indicators: Appendix C provides "fat content", "protein content", "amino acid content", and "mineral content".
