Scope

This standard specifies a method for identifying the authenticity of propolis using high-performance liquid chromatography fingerprinting.
This standard is applicable to the identification of the authenticity of propolis in poplar-type propolis raw materials, poplar-type propolis extracts extracted with edible alcohol as a solvent, and their products.
This standard is not applicable to the identification of the authenticity of propolis in propolis compound preparations formulated with raw materials containing flavonoids (except for propolis).
