Scope
This part of GB/T 14598 is based on IEC 61000-4-18 and refers to the applicable parts of that publication. It specifies the general requirements for immunity tests of pulse groups at 1 MHz and 100 kHz, which are applicable to measurement relays and protection devices used in power system relay protection. This includes control, monitoring, and process interface devices used with these devices.
The purpose of the test is to verify whether the tested device can function properly when it is stimulated and subjected to repeated damping oscillation wave disturbances caused by events such as the opening or closing of circuit breakers or isolation switches in high-voltage substations or power plants.
