Scope

This part of GB/T 29834 provides a framework for the indicator system of system and software maintainability and the definitions of related indicators, stipulates the quality characteristics of system and software maintainability, and provides a unified maintainability indicator system for system and software suppliers, users, and third-party evaluation institutions.
This part is applicable to all kinds of systems and software with maintainability requirements. Users can select suitable maintainability indicators according to the specific products. This part is not applicable to "one-time use" systems or systems and software that do not require maintenance during their use.
Note: The systems referred to in this part are mainly software systems.
