Scope

This standard sets forth restrictions on mining mechanical backhoe excavators from the perspectives of physical performance and intended use. The safety requirements specified in this standard apply to the hazards arising at all stages of the machine's lifespan as defined in GB/T 15706.1.
The hazards not covered by this standard are consistent with those specified in GB/T 15706.1 to GB/T 15706.2. Hazards related to general mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and other equipment are not included in this standard.
This standard applies to mining mechanical backhoe excavators used in open-pit mines and construction projects that comply with the requirements specified in Clause 4.1 of GB/T 10604-2008 (hereinafter referred to as "excavators").
