Scope

This part specifies the models, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certification documents for stainless steel welding wires and filler wires (hereinafter collectively referred to as welding wires) used in safety-grade equipment of non-passive pressurized water reactors. This part applies to ER308L, ER309L, and ER316L stainless steel welding wires used in tungsten inert gas shielded arc welding for safety-grade equipment in the nuclear island of non-passive pressurized water reactors.
