Scope

This part of GB/T 25498 specifies the structure and characteristics of a sound coupler with a certain acoustic impedance, loaded with an over-ear type audiometer headphone, for audiometer calibration, with a frequency range of 125 Hz to 8,000 Hz. The audiometer headphone is specified in GB/T 4854.1.
The sound pressure level generated by the headphones in the coupler is generally not equal to the sound pressure level generated in the human ear. However, in order to ensure the interchangeability of audiometer indicators and the calibration of audiometer headphones, the devices specified in this part are suitable for simple and rapid methods.
