Scope

This standard specifies the general technical requirements, acceptance rules, testing methods, packaging, marking, transportation, and storage requirements for uranium ore concentrates. This standard applies to uranium ore concentrates with a uranium content (mass fraction, dry basis) exceeding 65%. This standard does not include requirements for radiation protection and occupational health. Compliance with this standard does not relieve users of the responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable international, national, and local laws and regulations regarding the possession, transportation, or use of nuclear materials.
