Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the mass per unit area of the hot-dip galvanized layer on ferrous metal materials. This standard requires the accurate calculation of the surface area of the sample. Therefore, this standard is applicable to samples whose surface area can be easily determined. If the sample is too heavy to be tested in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 5 of this standard, other methods should be used to determine the mass of the hot-dip galvanized layer.
