Scope
This standard specifies the appearance inspection and corrosion weight determination of zirconium and zirconium alloys after corrosion in high-pressure water at 360 °C under a pressure of 18.6 MPa, or in water vapor at 400 °C and above under a pressure of 10.3 MPa.
This standard applies to forgings, castings, powder metallurgy products, and welded metals.
As a means of evaluating material performance, this standard is suitable for the research and development of new alloys, the evaluation of heat treatment and welding techniques, and the inspection and acceptance of products.
