Scope

This document applies to on-board control and protection devices (hereinafter referred to as IC-CPDs) for Mode 2 charging of electric vehicles, including control and safety functions.
This document applies to portable devices that can simultaneously perform functions such as detecting residual current, comparing the residual current value with the residual action current value, and disconnecting the protected circuit when the residual current exceeds this value.
IC-CPDs that comply with this document:
—— Contain a controller that meets the requirements of Appendix A of GB/T 18487.1—2015 for control guidance functions;
—— Check the power supply status and prevent charging when a power supply failure occurs under specified conditions;
—— May have an open/closed protective conductor.
IC-CPDs are intended for use in TN and TT systems. Their use in IT systems may be limited.
Residual current at a frequency different from the rated frequency, DC residual current, and specific environmental conditions are considered.
This document applies to IC-CPDs that perform safety and control functions in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 18487.1 for Mode 2 charging of electric vehicles.
This document applies to IC-CPDs for single-phase circuits with a voltage not exceeding 250 V and a maximum rated current not exceeding 16 A.
This document applies only to IC-CPDs used in AC circuits, with a preferred rated frequency of 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or 50/60 Hz. The IC-CPDs specified in this document are not intended for supplying power to the connected grid.
This document applies to IC-CPDs with a rated residual action current not exceeding 30 mA, and provides additional protection for the lower circuit of the IC-CPD in cases where it cannot be ensured that an RCD (residual current device) with an IΔn≤30 mA is installed in the electrical device.
