Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, inspection methods, inspection classification rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for silk garments. This standard applies to silk garments made primarily from silk fabrics containing silk or rayon. This standard does not apply to infant and children's clothing for ages 36 months and below.
