Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of aerosol paint products. This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and transportation of solvent-based color paints and varnishes in aerosol form with a nominal volume of less than 1000mL. This standard does not apply to aerosol paints that achieve opacity and coloration using special pigments such as metallic, reflective, or fluorescent pigments.
