Scope
This part of GB/T 33196 specifies the technical requirements for the visible windows of large yachts, taking into account the navigation conditions and the location of the visible windows. Large yachts are ships with a length of at least 24 m, used for sports, leisure, and business, and their tonnage is limited to less than 3,000 GT according to the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships. This part only applies to windows located above the full-load waterline (dsw) and have a significant impact on the ship's weatherproof and watertight integrity (i.e., water entering the hull due to cracked windows). This part only applies to independent visible windows.
