Scope

This standard specifies the structure and basic parameters, technical requirements, materials, test methods, inspection rules, and protection, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of steel plug valves with flange ends, butt welded ends, socket welded ends, and threaded connections. This standard applies to nominal pressures of PN10 to PN420, nominal sizes of DN25 to DN600, and valves with flange, welded, and threaded connections. The materials include carbon steel, alloy steel, and austenitic stainless steel, and the valves come in short-type, conventional-type, Venturi-type, and round-hole full-bore types.
