Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, transportation, and storage for overhead insulated cables with a rated voltage of 1 kV or less in AC systems. This standard applies to overhead power cables with a rated voltage of U ≤ 1 kV, which are used in AC power lines and are made of copper cores, aluminum cores, aluminum alloy cores, and weather-resistant PVC, polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene insulation.
