Scope

This document specifies the method of designating the grades of hot-rolled H-section steel used for buckling-restrained bracing, the content of orders, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This document is applicable to the manufacture of low yield strength hot-rolled H-section steel used in energy-saving structural components such as earthquake resistance and shock absorption in buildings.
