Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for on-board charging devices installed in pure electric passenger cars with an input power of no more than 3.5kW and a supply AC input voltage of 220V, which meet the safety requirements of Class II power sources. These requirements include technical requirements for the safe operation of the device, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to on-board charging devices for pure electric passenger cars. Other types of electric vehicle charging devices can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to on-board charging devices for hybrid electric vehicles or electric vehicle charging devices that operate in workplaces with flammable or explosive gases.
