Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the use of materials during ship repair, the key items for external inspection during routine ship repair, the inspection points, the quality requirements for repair, the quality control during repair, and the requirements for acceptance and inspection.
This standard applies to routine repairs of steel marine ships with a gross tonnage of 500 tons or more. Other ships may refer to it for use.
This standard does not apply to major modifications of ships.
