Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and contracts (or purchase orders) for antimony trioxide (commonly known as antimony white).
This standard applies to antimony trioxide produced from antimony concentrates. Antimony trioxide products are mainly used as flame retardant synergists in flammable materials such as plastics, resins, rubber, textiles, and paints, and as catalysts in petrochemical and synthetic fiber industries. Antimony trioxide products are widely used in automotive, home appliance, computer, power, electrical, communication, petrochemical, machinery manufacturing, aerospace, and military industries, among others.
