Scope

This standard specifies the classification, code designation, and method of indicating the brand name of steel strapping for packaging (hereinafter referred to as strapping), the content of orders, nominal thickness, nominal width, butt welding, coil diameter, and surface condition, technical requirements, shape, allowable deviations in dimensions, inspection and testing, packaging, marking, and quality certificates, etc.
This standard is applicable to steel strapping used for packaging and bundling of metal materials, cardboard boxes, wooden boxes, light textiles, and chemical products, etc.
