Scope

This standard specifies the classification and designations of cold-rolled steel strips used in the manufacture of industrial chains, as well as their dimensions, shapes, allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to cold-rolled steel strips (hereinafter referred to as steel strips) used in the manufacture of roller chains and sleeve chains with pitch sizes ranging from 6.35mm to 31.75mm, but does not apply to high-strength or heavy-duty special roller chains and sleeve chains. This standard also applies to slit steel strips and cold-rolled wide steel strips cut from slit cold-rolled steel strips.
