Scope
This standard specifies the samples used for acid etching and sulfur marking tests of low-magnification structural defects in continuous casting steel slabs, as well as the morphological characteristics of the defects, their causes, and the grading principles. This standard applies to the grading of low-magnification structural defects in carbon steel and alloy steel slabs produced by the continuous casting process. The acceptable grades and unacceptable defects of various types of defects in this standard shall be specified in the corresponding technical specifications and agreements between the parties.
