Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the content of dimethylformamide (DMF) in footwear and footwear components, such as materials with polyurethane (PU) coatings. Note: In the footwear industry, DMF is not required for injection molding (reaction molding) of PU. DMF can be used for PU coating materials.
