Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, general principles, requirements, testing, inspection rules, and energy consumption level marking for electric musical instruments and their auxiliary equipment. This standard applies to electric musical instruments and their auxiliary equipment that can operate normally under power supply from the power grid (220 V, 50 Hz). This standard does not apply to electric musical instruments and their auxiliary equipment powered by batteries or network interfaces (such as USB interfaces). This standard does not apply to electric musical instruments with a display driver frequency greater than or equal to 1 GHz.
