Scope
This standard specifies the specific methods for determining the grain size of copper and copper alloys using comparison method, area method, and intercept method. Generally, measurement can be done by comparison method. When there are disputes, the intercept method shall be used as the arbitration method.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the grain size of single-phase or mainly single-phase copper and copper alloys in the annealed state.
