Scope

This part of GB/T 37977 specifies the basic requirements for electrostatic discharge (ESD) current waveforms used in simulated machine models (MM) and for the equipment used to generate and verify these waveforms.
This part applies to MM ESD current waveforms used in general test methods, as well as in ESD sensitivity tests or performance evaluation tests of materials, electronic components, assemblies, or products. These MM ESD current waveforms in non-powered semiconductor devices for specific applications are specified in IEC 60749-27.
