Scope
This part of GB/T 30248 defines a series of lossless and lossy compression algorithms for encoded binary digital still images, continuous gray-scale digital still images, discrete-tone digital still images, and continuous-tone digital still images.
This part:
——specifies the decoding process from compressed image data to reconstructed image data;
——specifies the code stream syntax for interpreting compressed image data;
——specifies a file format;
——provides guidelines for the encoding process from original image data to compressed image data;
——provides guidelines for how to implement these processes in practice.
