Scope
This standard specifies the structure, models, and markings, requirements, sampling, testing methods, and markings, labels, packaging, transportation, and storage of ordinary V-belts for general transmission (hereinafter referred to as V-belts). This standard applies to ordinary V-belts used in general mechanical transmission devices. This standard does not apply to mechanical transmission devices such as automobiles and motorcycles.
