Scope

This standard specifies the general principles, safety protection measures, test overview, pre-test preparation, test methods, and test reports for the testing of shipboard fixed foam fire-extinguishing systems (hereinafter referred to as "foam fire-extinguishing systems"). This standard applies to the mooring and navigation tests of balanced and pressure-type (positive and negative pressure) high-, medium-, and low-expansion foam fire-extinguishing systems installed on ships and offshore platforms.
