Scope

This procedure is applicable to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of resistance-type DC potentiometers with accuracy grades ranging from 00005 to 01.
This procedure is not applicable to:
a) potentiometers that automatically achieve zero balance;
b) potentiometers that obtain partial indication values using a balance detector scale;
c) DC comparison potentiometers;
d) other potentiometers for special purposes.
