Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for the "Information Technology (IT) Project Performance Benchmark Measurement Framework" process: -- Process requirements for various activities within the benchmark measurement framework (e.g., implementing, maintaining data warehouses, submitting data); -- Tasks necessary for successfully executing activities and equipping them with components, both of which are defined in GB/T 41866.1. This document is applicable to all stakeholders involved in IT project performance benchmarking (e.g., benchmark measurement users, benchmark measurement suppliers, benchmark measurement service providers, and IT project teams). Note: Below are examples of how to use this document: -- Implement benchmark measurement procedures by system and software suppliers to estimate and/or evaluate the performance of IT projects; -- Evaluate the performance of suppliers' IT projects by system and software demanders (or third-party agents); -- Collect and analyze IT project data and provide benchmarks by benchmark measurement suppliers; -- Provide various services (e.g., providing benchmark measurement tools and methods, or implementing examples by benchmark measurement users) by benchmark measurement service providers. This document does not specify how to organize benchmark measurement activities. The specifications for the name, format, or explicit content of documents generated during the benchmark measurement process are beyond the scope of this document.
