Scope

This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for determining the relative heat resistance of the cover layer of rubber conveyor belts, and stipulates the allowable range of changes in hardness, elongation at break, and tensile strength after the cover layer is exposed to a thermal environment. This standard applies to cover layers with a thickness of 4 mm or greater. This standard does not apply to conveyor belts specified in ISO 211831 [1].
