Scope
This part of GB/T 33524 specifies the dimensions of the taper shank series for automatic and manual tool changer machine tools (such as lathes, drilling machines, milling machines, and turning-milling centers) equipped with a steel ball tensioning system. The dimensions of the O-ring cooling seals used with different specifications of taper shanks are shown in Appendix A. Flanges with grooves can be used for automatic tool changers or manual tool changers. The clamping of the tool shanks can be achieved by standard-sized steel balls and various clamping mechanisms. Torque transmission is achieved through the friction force at the tail end of the tool shank, clamping elements, and keys.
