Scope
This standard applies to the water absorption dose calibration of ionization chambers used in radiation therapy with 60Co γ rays and accelerator photon beams, with a photon energy range of (1.25 to 25) MeV and a dose rate range of (0.01 to 10) Gy/min. After calibration, the ionization chamber dose meters can be used for water absorption dose calibration of external radiation therapy sources, including MVX ray beams, electron beams, proton beams, and heavy ion beams.
