Scope

This document specifies a preferred series of ordinary screw threads (general-purpose metric screw threads M), which are selected from the standard series of ordinary screw threads specified in GB/T 193. The nominal diameter range is 1 mm to 100 mm, and the tooth profile of the ordinary screw threads complies with the provisions of GB/T 192.
This document is applicable to metric fastening screw threads selected for bolts, screws, studs, and nuts, as well as for general mechanical engineering applications.
