Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of gear double-sided meshing comprehensive measuring instruments.
This standard is applicable to double-sided meshing comprehensive measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as "double-meshing instruments") for measuring cylindrical gears, bevel gears, and quasi-hyperboloid gears with a module of 1 mm to 10 mm, as well as worm wheels and worm shafts.
Note: Double-sided meshing comprehensive measuring instruments of other structural types (including those for measuring small-module gears with a module of less than 1 mm) can be implemented by reference to this standard.
