Scope

This standard specifies the measurement methods for the A-weighted sound power level and the noise at the ear of portable hand-operated forestry and gardening machinery powered by internal combustion engines.
This standard applies to portable forestry and gardening machinery such as chainsaws, brush cutters, lawn mowers, pole-type power pruning saws, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers/vacuum cleaners.
