本文件规定了齿条齿部几何精度（以下简称“齿条精度”）的等级、基准、测量、公差值和图样标注。本文件适用于基本齿廓符合 GB/T 1356、法向模数mn的范围为1 mm~40 mm、工作齿宽b不大于630 mm的单一直齿或斜齿齿条。警告：本文件的使用者应该注意，不能使用未装配齿条的精度值来直接判断装配后齿条副的使用性能。
