Scope

Scope: This document establishes the procedures for the industrialized propagation of tea plants by short-shoot cuttings, and specifies the operational instructions for the establishment of cutting-stock orchards, the cultivation of cuttings, the construction of nursery facilities, the clipping of cuttings, post-clipping management, seedling acclimatization, seedling quality, and transportation during the stages of short-shoot cuttings. It also describes traceability methods such as recordkeeping and file management. This document is applicable to the industrialized propagation of clonal tea plants by short-shoot cuttings in Shandong tea-growing regions. Main Technical Content: 3. Terms and Definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Nursery Greenhouses: Greenhouses with temperature, humidity, and light control functions, such as connected greenhouses, daylight greenhouses, and large arched greenhouses. 4. Establishment of Cutting-Stock Orchards: Follow the provisions of Chapter 3 of GB 11767. 5. Cutting-Stock Cultivation: Follow the provisions of Chapter 5 of NY/T 2019. 6. Construction of Nursery Facilities: 6.1 Nursery Greenhouses: 6.1.1 Connected Greenhouses: Follow the provisions of NY/T 2970. 6.1.2 Daylight Greenhouses: Follow the provisions of JB/T 10594. 6.1.3 Large Arched Greenhouses: Follow the provisions of JB/T 10594. 6.2 Spray Systems: Each nursery bed is equipped with a misting and micro-spraying system, preferably using cross-atomizing nozzles. The nozzles should be located about 1.5 meters from the clipped seedlings, with a spray radius of 1 to 1.5 meters. A fully automatic nursery control device is used to control the spray interval and duration; alternatively, a mobile irrigation vehicle can be used for spraying. 6.3 Lighting Systems: Each nursery bed is equipped with two sets of lighting systems: one set of blue LED tubes with a light intensity of about 8 lux; the other set of red LED tubes with a light intensity
