Scope
This standard includes ten items: drilling engineering design, pre-drilling preparation and acceptance, drilling engineering quality requirements, drilling operations, coalbed methane well control requirements, core sampling operations, cementing operations requirements, health, safety and environmental management (HSE) requirements, drilling engineering data submission requirements, and drilling completion handover and acceptance. It standardizes the procedures and requirements for the entire process of coalbed methane drilling engineering operations.
This standard applies to drilling design, operations, engineering quality requirements, data submission, and acceptance of vertical wells with a depth of less than 1,500 meters, such as coalbed methane parameter wells, test wells, and production wells. For coal-formed gas wells, shallow gas wells, and horizontal wells, the drilling operations can be carried out with reference to this standard. For matters not covered by this standard, other relevant oil and gas industry standards can be referred to for implementation.
