Basic Information

Standard Code: GB/T 16582-2008
Standard Type: National standards
Standard Status: Active
is_force_gb: no
CCS Name: Basic standards and general methods for synthetic resins and plastics
ICS Name: Plastic Composite
Publish Date: 2008-08-04
Implement Date: 2009-04-01
Pages: 7 pages

Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining the melting behavior of partially crystalline polymers using capillary method and polarizing microscope method. Method A (capillary method) is suitable for all partially crystalline polymers and their blends. Method B (polarizing microscope method) is suitable for polymers with birefringent crystalline phases. However, it is not suitable for blends containing pigments and/or additives, as they may affect the birefringence of the polymer's crystalline regions.
