This standard applies to commercial vacuum cleaners.
The purpose of this standard is to specify the basic performance characteristics of vacuum cleaners that users are concerned about and to describe the methods of measuring these characteristics.
Note: Due to the influence of environmental conditions, time changes, testing materials, and operating levels, when conducting multiple instrument comparison tests at the same time, in the same laboratory, and by the same operators, most testing methods will yield more reliable results.
