Scope

This standard provides procedures and methods for identifying and assessing the risks of sudden environmental incidents in onshore oil pipelines (hereinafter referred to as "environmental risks"), technical guidance and recommendations on environmental risks and emergency management, leak prevention, and environmental emergency response to leaks.
This standard is applicable to the environmental risk assessment and prevention of in-service crude oil and refined oil long-distance pipelines on land.
This standard is not applicable to stations and oil depots attached to oil pipelines.
